The Hours

So far this book is one of the easier reads we have had this year. I like the way in which Michael Cunningham separates the chapters by the 3 different characters. They way in which he develops his characters make this split easy to follow and not disjunctive, the way all of their lives seem to intertwine around Mrs. Clarissa Dalloway. I'm most intrigued about Laura Brown at this point and how exactly she intertwines with the other two characters.

I am enjoying this book and am looking forward to the rest of the novel.

I do agree with TJ, you should write a bit more about how you feel about the book and why you are liking/disliking/ambivalent towards it.

I disagree, I think that the chapters being split by characters is difficult to follow, but to each his own. I do agree, however, with your point about Laura Brown, her story is somewhat depressing and not really relevant, maby she is put there to be the reader to the writing. I don't really know. Haha this is a really bad comment, sorry. Ha love you

Tarja,

While I'm glad you're enjoying the novel, I don't really feel from this post that I understand why (beyond the fact that it's an "easy" read). Please try and write more. I'm interested in your observations.
