Mr Brocklehurst
If there is one person that I really hate strongly in this book, it is Mr Brocklehurst. He thinks that everyone in his school should conform by acting the same and looking the same. I hate conformity, it is the pure root of evil. All terrorist groups and all wars are started because of conformity. Well anyway Mr Brocklehurst makes one of the students cut off all their hair because they have naturally curly hair. His own daughters have curly hair but he doesn't say anything about that. This man is a hypocrite and he is an evil human being.

Yes, hypocrisy is one of the deadliest sins--no doubt about it. But just because Brocklehurst is a minister (albeit a pretty dreadful one) do you think his portrayal alone is enough to qualify this novel as "anti-christian" (as many critics--especially the early ones--have charged)?

Мы развелись более полугода назад .Уже я в отношениях, есть Мч. В прошлом браке прожили всего год, расходились ужасно - сломала психику. Бывший благоверный поставил себе штамп о разводе ещё в начале года, а я всё боюсь идти в ЗАГС за разовдом, и у меня в паспорте стоит штамп о браке.
Гд-ето подсознательно это аёт мне иллюзию про то, что где-то меня все ещё ждёт мой благоверный. Смотрю в паспорт - и я замужем...
Хотела попросить МЧ пойти со мной за разводом. но потом подумала, что не стоит вмешивать его в это дело.
Как себя заставить? и отчего я не могу? Боюсь ещё что разревусь там
