Do You Trust Rochester???
Seriously, what is going on with this guy??? After Grace Poole attacked that man and Rochester wouldn't let them speak, why didn't Jane question that? I would most definitely be asking him what happened and whats the deal with Grace. I feel like he has way too many secrets and that something is going on in his life that could really affect Jane's life. I am starting to get concerned for her to even be with him.

Rochester does, indeed, seem creepy--but what makes him this way? Is it in his character, or in his past "error"? As for the mysteries (and Jane's apparent inability to address them directly to either Rochester or Mason), perhaps--as we discussed in class--this is simply a way for Bronte to keep us hooked--and keep us reading.
