Jane Eyre

This book is a bit hard to get into, I feel like Bronte goes off on tangents and honestly they're hard to follow.  I space out and then I have no idea what i read.  I think it's kind of cool that Jane and her boss are falling in love but I don't think it's going to work out because honestly that would just be too predictable and Bronte doesn't strike me as the type to be predictable.  I really like the gipsy part I thought is was clever in a wicked way for Mr. R. to dress up like a women.  I think it was smart of Jane not to tell her real feelings for R. because that would have been a weird situation for Mr. R and Jane because in that day and age classes didn't mix very well.  I'm a little curious to see what happens next but I hope Bronte's tangents get shorter.

"Clever in a wicked way"--I like that line, though I get the sense that you aren't all that enthusiastic about the book as a whole. I'm interested in what you consider "tangents". Could you be more specific?
